Tower of Power at Ludlow Garage, and others. Not a guitar band, but WOW.
TOP were the kings of funk. Brilliant horn section and the late Rocco Prestia was a benchmark that bass players aspired to. Saw them at the Taft.
"What is Hip?" and "So Very Hard To Go" take me back.
Someone else that needs to get squeezed into that list is Don Felder.
