New to the sight and love it! Anyway, I picked up a new to me (2008 model) 1911PD that the bluing has worn of the slide area on the frame rails and slide groves quite abit, so my question is I am thinking of cerakoting the frame and slide, but am concerned that I will lose the lifetime warranty. Does anyone know if I will or will not. Or, has anyone coated a gun and then sent it in to S&W for warranty work without issues?
