On the night of April 18, the royal governor of Massachusetts, General Thomas Gage, commanded by King George III to suppress the rebellious Americans, had ordered 700 British soldiers, under Lieutenant Colonel Francis Smith and Marine Major John Pitcairn, to seize the colonists' military stores(Gun powder, flints and lead) in Concord, some 20 miles west of Boston.

At Lexington Green, the British were met by approximately seventy American Minute Men led by John Parker. At the North Bridge in Concord, the British were confronted again, this time by 300 to 400 armed colonists, and were forced to march back to Boston with the Americans firing on them all the way. By the end of the day, the colonists were singing "Yankee Doodle" and the American Revolution had begun.

Things sure have changed in Massachusetts.

I wish I had a sad emoticon (or whatever you call them) to display on your post instead of a "Like"... I do like the fact that you recognize the danger to our nation... I'm sorrowful that this danger exists...

Join the NRA, we need you. Register to vote, then make sure you vote... The next president of the USA will pick replacements for at least 1 US Supreme Court Justice & perhaps as many as 4 of them... this will directly affect if we will be allowed to own/possess/use firearms of all types... We need your help NOW........ Join the NRA, RENEW or upgrade your membership... talk to your friends about joining......... The next presidents' term of 4 years will be crucial to whether our nation survives..
