...For tryannical governments.

Proof: 85 million people killed in the last century alone after losing their freedom to bear arms. http://jpfo.org/pdf02/genocide-chart.pdf

We can learn from history, or suffer the doom of repeating history.

This is derived from the JPFO website page as a more printer-friendly option. The complete web page is accompanied by a detailed
promotion of the Death by “Gun Control” book, written by Aaron Zelman and Richard W.Stevens

I only wish so many that take our freedom for granted realized what goes on on other countries and the scale of violence would make Sandy Hook look mild in comparision. I believe we can do things to combat killing children in schools...Gun Free Zones are just words that say to a criminal.....we are a soft unprotected target for your rage. The president does not depend on Gun Free Zones to protect him....he has men with fully automatic weapons....an armored car with a mini gun and and all agents have high capacity magazines. I do not begrudge the President his protection.....but every family deserves the best protection we can offer them....they are more precious to me than anything in this world.
Evil will always be with us.....we just need to be prepared to deal with it when and where it raises its ugly head. We can not depend on the police to protect us...they can not be everywhere at once and they will arrive in time to fill out the report. We need to stand strong on the second ammendment and right now we have a lot of wish washey politicions that do not seem to have much back bone. Those that have any doubt about what can happen to us...need to read about Cambodia and what happened there...thats just one example...there are so many. We can not afford to lose the second ammendment and if we lose our freedom, it will be our own fault....we can not blame politicions...it will be us that fail to stand up for freedom....its only the people that can really defend our freedom....no one can do it for us.

Once again, we see the results of those who have refused to learn from history and, consequently, are doomed to repeat it. Sadly, those of us on whom the lessons of history are not lost may have to repeat it with them. I never thought I'd experience what those in the past experienced as their respective societies collapsed around them.

One shining and current example of what we are discussing here is Afghanistan. The village people are not armed.....the only ones with arms are the Taliban, the ANA, the Police and international forces. So while the government can control the cities, the have no ruel control. They can take land ....but they move on and can not hold it. So the village peope have to go along with the Taliban and their brutal rules....because they have no way to resist. There are many other problems there involving corruption but the fact remains that unarmed people are subjects and will be controlled by what ever gang is in power because the Taliban are not about to disarm. They have murdered and intimidated many people....it could happen here if we become defenceless. Passing more laws will not slow down the criminals...it only puts law abiding citizens at risk if our freedom is infringed on.

We need only look south of the border for a perfect example of the failure of gun control. The country of Mexico has very strict gun laws to include what caliber a private citizen may or may not possess.

Possession of a firearm by a private citizen in Mexico is not illegal, but who, how and what you possess is strictly controlled by the government.

The rest is history!

We do not need gun control! We need to control and punish criminals who wreak havoc on our law abiding and responsible gun owning citizens!

Maybe it's time we send some politicians on a fact find mission.

To Mexican Cartel held area territories.

Basically Mexico doesn't have LEGAL Guns, but they do have

Cartel areas that even the Mexican Army refuses to go to.
