Gun Show, Jacksonville, Florida...Anyone Go?

Gun show today and Sunday. I just got home. All the dealers complain that nobody is buying but their prices are ridiculous. Even used guns are at new prices.

If they would get a clue they may sell something besides jerky and ten dollar knives, but that is their business.

It was nice to see the "right" politicians out in force.

Anyone find anything to adopt?

A couple dealers down this way are starting to get the idea that they can't charge the Obama-post-election prices any more.
Went to a gunshow in Palmetto today and a couple or three tables had some semblance of reasonable prices. A decent shaped 6" 28 HP for $439 and I missed by seconds a 696 no dash with the box for $695. Dang! Most others still had their list-plus-$100 prices and were selling nothing, but had a lot to complaining about. Sorry boys.

I was there. Tempted slightly by couple of nice model 13's I saw but both had blemishes and were over priced. Thought long and hard about a non-pinned 25-5 in .45 Colt. Would like to have one with proper sized bores. But like so much else, was overpriced and without any accessories or correct grips.

I did complete my collection of 625-3's with the addition of a 4" model from an individual walking the isles. No great bargin but was something I wanted and had been looking for to complete my set: 3, 4 & 5 inch models of 1989.

Took all three out to Gateway this afternoon. All shot great! Really impressed with the accuracy of the 625s.

Otherwise the show was pretty boring to me.

Nope - did not got this time. The last one they had was just as you said. Prices were crazy!!!!!! I can get a better deal local, here on S&W or on GB.

Didn't go to the Suncoast Show either. $8 to laugh at the sticker (if the vendor has the energy to put prices) prices and come home empty handed, I'm loosing interest in that too.
Now if a vendor would sell "I went to the gun show and all I bought was this lousy tee shirt" I'd have a bag to carry to the car.

Last few shows I went to in my area I could not understand the silly prices being ask. Sorry pal, but your beat up Model 10 or Official Police is not a 500.00 dollar gun.
