Things sure have gotten quiet on the gun show scene. Many prices have headed back to sane levels, but there are always glaring exceptions. Even 22lr for 7 cent a round, +/- .

Did see a nice model 27 walking around, $500 would have bought it. A couple of 32 Colt Police Positives for 200 a pop.

Ammo about at normal gun show prices. Lots of powder, but, alas, no Unique.

Mostly old farts on both sides of the tables, hipsters and mileneals were totally absent.

I had to walk something around, so I took a k frame (in orig box). It got a little attention, but only one guy really knew what it was, and he was not a buyer till he sold his Kimber.

The only thing I bought was a hamburger.

I am just not an N frame guy. No holsters, no speed loaders, no extra grips, etc.

I am also selling more than buying these days, but I did fondle it and looked it over real close.

The wife and I hit our local gun show today. Was pretty busy and there were plenty of deals in what we were looking for ammo mostly. Got the wif a set of a2 sites for her ar for around 40. And some good deals on 223 as well. Mag prices were a bit high though.

The flippers at the door woulda' bought it quicker than a cat can lick it's ... paw. :D

GF

No door flippers that I saw yesterday. They must have all their funds tied up in 22lr ammo.

Saw a total of less than 10 guns walking around. Like I said, kinda quiet.

I thought of bringing my stash of two two ammo withme--just to show off like those who walk around with guns slung over the shoulder-like Elmer Fudd does. Thought it over--nah--too darn heavy.

When you guys do a gun show report: let us know what gun show.

Advertising or links to commercial sites or operations that do not support this site are verboten. Some mods let them pass, others do not. Gunshows all have their own web sites and are businesses. You aren't even allowed to link to another thread on this site.

I would be happy to pass along info on items that would definitely be of interest to members here, but the rules forbid it.

No hipsters or milenials is a bad thing?

No hipsters doesn't surprise me one bit. Most of them aren't gun people anyway.

No millennials, on the other hand, IS a bad thing. We are the next generation of gun owners and gun collectors. Cutting us out of the equation puts an end to the joy and hobby that is gun collecting. Maintaining the status quo is simply not sustainable.

No one was cutting them out. They were the ones who did not show up.

For someone starting out in collecting, I would love to help them learn, and give them a start down that road. The only ones I have met have been flippers that learn just enough to buy low and sell high. They care not if they are buying/selling "pinned and recessed" or bushels of corn.

Any time I am at the range, I will share what I am shooting with those who express an interest and ask questions. I hope I convert a few every now and then.

eta: I know I spelt it wrong..........

I wasn't referring to your initial post. I was commenting on Chuck24 asserting that no millennials at a gun show is a good thing.

I always do.Our next is mid August.

The only thing is--I wish those who care to report--do not only just tell of a few handguns they found--give us a sit rep, on ammo prices yadda yadda yadda.
