Gunshow finds - Mod 27-2, and a coupla' old boxes!

Here's a nice Mod 27-2 5 inch that I found at this weekends Louisville show...

thanks to doublesharp for the inside track and handejector for the good advice.

And I found a gold box for my old M&P at the same show. My K-22 E-Bay box was on the doorstep when I came home, so all-in-all it was a good S&W weekend!!!

Hopefully you did better than the $1875 price on the 27-2 5" nickel that was at the Ft. Worth gun show today.

I've got one of those blue 5 inchers but it's not as nice as the one you've got. I like those smooth targets.

Prices were between a grand and 1500 for the 3 1/2 inch guns but the 8 3/8th inch guns (even a Pre 27) sold for 6 to 7.
This 5 inch gun was right in the longer barrel price range and I didn't own a 5 inch anything, sooo...
Funny how we rationalize a gun purchase!?!

Your nickel M&P looks just like the one I bought at a yard sale a few years ago. Seems like one of the guys on here said the serial number dates it to 1946.

Tell you what. for $1800, I'll sell you mine (NIB condition) and I'll deliever it personaly along with a six pack of Abita(it comes with the presentation case too)
