I purchased a "New to Me" 625-2 off GunBroker and discovered the cylinders were scored by someone using a drill and who knows what. The gun also has loose cylinder lockup and the crane/yoke and ejection rod need to be straightened and aligned. I found a new cylinder with extractor but need someone to install it and correct eveerything else, i.e., end play, gap, etc. Looking to make this a Bullseye accurate gun to compete with my 25-2 (which has the grossly oversized cylinder throats).

Cylinder and Slide has a two year backlog. I've seen some You Tuber's doing this work, but thought this community would know of some Smiths that would take care of me. I'm in Ohio if that makes a difference.

I checked with the factory as I just had another revolver in for warranty work and we were emailing each other. BTW, if you call S&W, no one will take a call to discuss anything. But in that email exchange I learned they are not taking any non-warranty or non-production work on. I assumed this work would not come under warranty. But I willl take this back to them to see if they can help. Meanwhile, still interested in finding a Smith to work on my revolvers.
