My Grandson and his mother were able to spend 15 days in Europe.

It was a 'tour' package of unbelievable proportions for a 15 year old.

I had rewarded his academic achievements a short while back and bought him an Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Well, he got to use the poopy out of that wonderful camera.

He took hundreds of photos of a once in a lifetime visit.

They flew to London and spent a couple of days and then to France, Italy, Switzerland and many other places.

I had gifted him some Euros for some pocket money along the way.

Well, when he got home he brought me this SAK that he literally picked out in Switzerland and purchased for me.

I think he made a great choice and sincerely appreciate his gift. 'Tis one to cherish.

And, he had it monogrammed with 'our' last name. Ha. Boys thinking ahead.:D

enjoy,

great. I think that size is just right. I like the Climber, or if I go bigger, the old Explorer with the grey magnifier, 8x glass.

The Huntsman is my pick of the bunch.
Have been carrying one since 1985. One is in my pocket now.
Have 2 spares also.

Nothing says how special someone else is like the gift of a SAK! As a wedding present, I gave my bride a 24 function SAK that came with a belt scabbard. Around our 20th Anniversary, her purse (along with the SAK) was stolen. On our Anniversary, I replaced the knife with a 104 function SAK and after the next camping trip, gave her a far more practical Huntsman in a scabbard. (Women's clothes are lacking in pockets, so scabbards seem the logical solution.)

My EDC pocketknife is a "Tinker", which is almost the same as your Huntsman, except the corkscrew is replaced with a #2 Phillips screwdriver. On my SAK's with a corkscrew I buy the accessory "eyeglasses" screwdriver that is stored by screwing it backwards into the corkscrew.

My Tinker has been carried so much that the Swiss shield fell of decades ago, and my scales are chewed up to the point of needing replacement!

I have seen an accessory that replaces the toothpick or tweezers, it is a ferro rod, for emergency fire starting. I plan on buying 10 or 12 so everyone in the family can have a few. I am not sure which I should replace, the toothpick or the tweezers. Maybe do a 50/50 upgrade.

Unless I am flying or heading to a court house, I always have a SAK and some other knife on me. Sometimes "other" means Spyderco or Case but there is always a SAK. I can't tell you how many "emergencies" have been solved with my SAK.
