I am looking for some wire handgun storage racks. They can be either 4 or 6 gun racks. They may or may not be put in a safe. I need them to be wide enough between the wires to be able to hold N frame guns side by side, and up to 6 1/2" barrels. I feel sure there are members here using something like that. What brands do you recommend? Thanks.

Midway is where I got mine . Look under Gun Safe Accessories.

You might take a look at Armory Racks, I have a couple that I did use for a while. The only problem is that they take up more room than they might save in a safe. Good for displaying though.

SnapSafe Pistol Rack, the come in 4, 6, and 8 gun. They will handle N-frames easily and still hold a Chiefs Special. Midway has 'em.

I have both the Hornady, that I bought at a local store, and Lockdown brand, purchased off Amazon. Hard to tell them apart. Might be the same thing, I don't know. They do their job well. Pricing seems the same at about $14 for a 4 gun rack and slightly more for a 6 gun.

Edit: they look just like the above.

I'm glad you showed this style, because I was wondering about them. I have the style that you stick the rod through the barrel. I like that the only contact points are in the barrel, but filling it full of longer barreled N frames might be iffy. I had seen this style, and it nice nice to know they can be used full of N frames, but I was curious about the multiple contact points. I realize they are covered in some kind of coating to hopefully minimize any rub damage. Keep the first hand reports and pictures coming. Thanks.

I have a few of the racks shown above.
Got mine from Midway and not sure of brand name.
They work great, placing the guns top side down,
the racks hold micro pistols all way to 5” 1911’s and
2” thru 6” revolvers. I place all guns in silicone socks
and place in rack slots, so plenty wide enough for all
Guns.

I also use the ‘s’ shaped coated wires the hang under a shelf above your long guns. Being thinner I keep my semi’s there while the revolvers are in a wire door rack. They make good use of space that is otherwise wasted.

I have a couple of those racks as shown in post 6.

But also, look at Target or WalMart for a plain old cheap “dish rack” in the kitchen section. Not sure if they’re the exact size you need but it’s another option …. And cheap.
