Well I was finally able to get my new 40c out on the range to qualify and shoot for the first time. I picked it up at the beginning of the month, but all the snow prohibited me from getting on the range at work. I only shot 50 rounds of 165 grain WWB (1 qualification round) and the firearms instructor shot another 10 for poops and haha's. I shot the best score I ever have and it certainly feels 10x better in my hand then my issued Glock 32. I had/have a Shield 9 for off duty as well but wanted to step up to something else. Recoil was not bad at all and I had no issues with the pistol at any point. The trigger was very smooth and had a pronounced reset that I could feel and hear. Well enough for me anyway. I can't, but wouldn't modify it in any way. It has a build date of 8/2013, and other then the 1 dimple on the barrel, I don't think it has any of the updated parts. Well, I'm very happy with the decision to upgrade. Of course over the years I've learned a good belt and holster are key and I'm able to carry IWB with a Hidden Hybrid Holster with no issues. I'm a smaller frames person. Also have a Safariland 6378 for OWB/range use. I know everyone reads a ton of these posts but I figured I would share my experience.
