The new year, new me theory is all well and good. Many people are motivated to make New Year's resolutions to try to improve their lives. Some are quite enthusiastic. However, studies have found that by the second Friday in January, 80% of those people have given up on their resolutions. Therefore, the 2nd Friday is designated Quitter's Day.

Have you quit yet or are you still trying?

So for 80%, their resolution was really a whim. Walmart has Valentine Day candies on the shelves already, so we may loose a few more between now and February 14th.

Last year I made the resolution to not buy any guns for a while, I made it all year. I forgot to renew the vow this year.

I never set unreasonable expectations of myself, a few attainable goals ? Of course. I’m always up for bettering myself when I can. Who isn’t ?
