Looking for a hard-case style carrier to take 4-7 guns to the range in one unit. Right now I have them all in rugs stuffed into a range bag, and when I want to take a bunch, it's just a hassle.

What do you use? Pics a plus.

In my experience, one do-all hard case is more of a hassle. They are heavy and hard to maneuver.

That being said, I like Pelican cases, with the built-in rollers. ;)

I'd agree with the one large hard case thing being a hassle. Most are heavy and bulky and a real PITA to get out of the house and in/out of the truck. Also with all that banging around, the guns always seem to move. A soft range bag like this one has worked better for me for bringing p to 4 handguns and everything that needs to go with them. MidwayUSA Competition Range Bag . Lighter, softer and more versatile.

That said, I've been bringing a mix of rifles and handguns allot lately so have added one of these to the collection too. It holds two rifles and two handguns comfortably without the weight and bulk of the bigger hard cases.

I've had this simple two layer Doskocil hardcase for 20 or so years. It is handy for simple range transport, but not air worthy. Four handguns are no problem unless they are very large. The rough dimensions are 17x14x7.

Hard Custom Pelican Cases.

Very sturdy, waterproof, they float,

Not Cheap, but GOOD FIREARMS are worth the added protection.

Love Mine!

Ohio Jerry.

Case is cheap $250 (5 or 6 gun) virtually indestructible,

with piece of mind insurance.

Try one with some CUSTOM 1911'S, IT IS REALLY CHEAP IN COMPARISON.

Depends on how many of what type of gun... I've got this Plano case that will carry two Mosin Nagant M91-30s at the same time. Not exactly the finest case, but it gets the job done.

Wilson Combat, Les Baer, Ed Brown, and Dan Wesson 1911's are

in a slightly different league than the Nagant.

If you are only talking handguns, its pretty hard to beat a Pachmayr "Gun Box"

cowart,

The Pach box serves it purpose, especially for Bulleye Shooters locally.

I wouldn't want to see AIRLINE PERSONAL pitching them around.

Handguns or long guns? I'd guess from the number handguns, but it's only a guess.

For handguns I use a Pelican 1500 case. I can put six handguns and magazines in there with ease. I added a couple of marine eye straps and a strap to make it easier to carry.

For pistols I'm using a large plastic tool box that's 25"x 8" x 9" deep with foam filling it half way up. Cut out spaces to put the handguns in muzzle down and it will hold several. Plenty of room for ammo or holsters, etc.
It's cheap, light and protects them well. And it's lockable.
I just use it for the range, not long travel.
