Hard time installing mirrored sliders

Got the upper and lower track installed, stopped for a beer. Went back into the bedroom and began picking up the first slider. There's an old dude on the other side of the mirror trying to pick it up same as me. I tell him I got it and back off. He tells me the same thing, so I go get another beer, and am sitting here waiting for him to install it, but he's gone someplace. How long should I wait before I try again???
