I bought a box of 9mm 147 gr. at my LGS last monday and have not had a chance to shoot them yet. I purchased the "T" for Training or Target.
The box of 50 rds. looks very impressive! And the price was under $18.00.

Please forgive me if this post is trivial or has been discussed in other areas, but I have searched the
forum posts and commentaries and have found no information on this subject.

No I haven't, but out of decency I'll respond to your question since 84 people blew by you for two days. Good luck pulling the teeth here.

The point of the ammunition is to buy both, not just one.

In each caliber offering the two different rounds are loaded to shoot to the same POA/POI. They both have the same recoil. That way you train with what you carry.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It tests as one of the top loads for short barrel 9mm.Right up there with 147 HST and RA9T Ranger T 147.Its right at 15 inches or so in bare and 4 layer denim.Really the perfect load for a shield. The defend load is also very low flash for at night. Were the training load is not.Winchester uses 2 different powders in the loads.A low flash load is also dirty just the trade off.As far as i know the defend may be bonded to.To me it looks like a form of the PDX1 bullet. But i am sure its tweaked some how as it does real well at about 870fps out of 9mm 3 inch barrel. No question in my mind this load is excellent and will be a good choice for gals packing 9mm.Or anybody really. Its very easy to shoot well and will be a good man stopper

My wife uses the Winchester® Train & Defend™ 38 Special 130gr (both loads) in her 357 Mag and 38 Special snubbies. I also use it as a range and carry load in my J frame #10062. It is highly accurate. POA & POI are virtually identical in all three guns.
