Both of my parents graduated from Syracuse University, as did both of my brothers, and I have a graduate degree from SU, so I was thrilled by the outcome.
The Clemson coach is a class act. His visit to the SU locker room to congratulate the SU coaching staff and team, as well as his post-game comments, show him to be wise and a gentleman. College football has become a huge industry, with a lot of money at stake. Coach Swinney demonstrated that character is alive and well in college football.

That game was followed by Cal smashing 10th-ranked Washington State, 37-3. Friday the 13th was rotten luck for top-ranked teams!
