I have had this holster for a long time and I recently was looking at it trying to ID the type of handgun it held. I think a Ruger MKI or II, etc?

Marked on rear "100", and "The Original Lawrence" and then "RUG 4 3/4".

If this is an older Ruger MKII holster, I wonder if new SW22 "Victory" would fit it snugly? I was thinking of buying a SW22 and if this would fit, it would make a nice piece of vintage leather once I gave it a good Kiwi cordovan polish. It's a pretty solid holster. I can only find bits and pieces from any catalog listing this brand holster, but none that directly ID it. Ideas?

Your holster was made after WW II and before 1963 so it was made for the Ruger Standard .22 auto pistol with a 4 3/4" barrel. The model 100 holster was a great woods carry holster, straight hang and a protective flap.
The logo says The George Lawrence Company.
I don't know if it will fit the S&W .22.
