Have you ever had to draw/use your handgun?

Once

Howdy,
Years ago I was reporting to work and as I walked around the corner of the building I discovered three United Riders MC stomping lumps out of my brother. After a good brawl we dispersed them and my brother escaped with the woman that this was all about.
I was preparing for a trip to the hospital for stitches on my arms and hands when they regrouped and came for me at my car. I snatched up a 6" Colt Trooper and waded into the middle and smacked one hard in the forehead. He disappeared, screaming and holding his head with both hands, into the dark. Another grabbed my wrist (Gun hand) and I thumbed back the hammer and was going to send a .357,125 grainer screaming out in the darkness as a warning. When the hammer came back the party ended and everyone fled into the dark. No shots fired.
I was taken to the hospital while they went to the roadhouse and recruited and then showed up at the hospital with eight United Riders (One with fractured skull) They kicked the glass door in while I was in the emergency room.
I told the nurse she better call the cops and I took one of the great beatings of my life. I ended up with a ton of stitches, black eyes and broken nose.
I had been stacking crates of master cylinders for a living and was not only big but in good shape then. After absorbing a horrendous beating, for the first time in my life I chose to run. I cleared a path to the hall and when I went out I was greeted by a janitor who locked us both in a small room/closet off the hallway.
I heard the police enter and asked the janitor to let me out and he did not want to open the door.
Cops recovered and confiscated my Trooper, I did not have it with me in the hospital, and they told me "Be careful these guys are dangerous".
I got it back after court but I had to agree to testify against the biker dudes. I did. The hospital did not want trouble with the MC and would not prosecute. Go figure, they did come after me for damages.
Meanwhile my boss was partner in a motorcycle/sporting goods store. He met me there after I cleared the hospital and loaned me a Ithaca Deerslayer. That thing traveled with me everywhere I went for months.
I finally moved before I was hurt bad or had to shoot someone. I moved south and the first morning in my new home I opened the front door and saw my car had four slashed tires. I thought #@!%**@! But when I looked up and down the street I saw that the whole neighborhood had been hit by tire slashers and I was relieved. (Mayors son at Dupo)
Harley folks don't bother me but to this day anyone flying MC colors warrants watching
Windy huh?
Thanks
Mike
