I haven't had that particular malady yet. Hope I never do.
I know about pain in the fingers and hands, though. I have had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. I waited too long, and haven't regained all the feeling in the fingers on the left hand. At least the pain and cramping at night is gone, though.
I have had surgery to alleviate trigger finger in two fingers on my right hand. I had a good bit of pain associated with that condition, and the surgery helped with both the pain and the locking and snapping of the joints. I also have DeQuervain's Syndrome in my left thumb/wrist. I had a bout with it last year. Extremely painful, almost debilitating. I hope I don't have to have surgery for that.
All in all, I guess I had rather have the problems with my hands rather than heart trouble or cancer. My last visit to the Orthopedic Doc who did the surgery, he asked about the pain in my hands. Mostly gone, I told him, just arthritic pain. "Be glad you're alive," was his answer.
I hope you are able to continue doing the things you need to do and want to do with your condition.
