I'm new to the forum and newish to gun ownership. My member name was my screen name when I owned an online poker site, not from shooting guns. Although, live fish would have to be in a barrel for me to hit one. I've had a 686 for several years for self defense at home. Love that gun. Last month I decided to get my CCL; hasn't come yet. Last week I bought a Ladysmith with CT that is kicking the devil out of my hand! So I'm probably just a forum lurker and learner. Excited to join the group.

Take a look at the Model 36 (or pre-36) IMHO, after you handle one, it's hard to live without a nice blue carbon steel and walnut example.

I was born and raised here, Atlanta isn't what it used to be. Crime is getting really bad. I would never recommend anyone live in a city that has an International Airport.

Yep - my 686 (7 rnd, 4") is so fun to shoot. Wish ammo wasn't so $$$.

That's a good 'un! I've been researching how to care for a blued gun, any suggestions on products? where to read? I read the stickies in the s&w forum but didn't see anything specific to blued guns.
