I have MS which has slowly degraded the strength in my left side. Especially my left leg. As result I retired/went out on disability in 2018. I am left handed, but as a result of the MS my left hand strength is not what it used to be.

I have always enjoyed shooting, for fun, target practice or range, not hunting. For whatever reason I always shot right handed, but am left eye dominant and left-handed.

Now I think I will try shooting long guns on my left shoulder or else will need to put something like a magic dot on my glasses on left side.

I am still trying to figure out what feels best shooting pistols, my right hand grip and side is stronger, but i am left eye dominant. Also, because of the left side weakness it is harder to rack using my left. So thinking i may try shooting with my left, and seeing how it goes.

Handguns - I own a s&w m&p 9mm ez, a colt commando 38 special revolver (was Dad's from WWII), and a ruger 22 single 6 with 22 magnum cylinder installed. Also own several rifles - a marlin 22lr, a 30-06, 22hornet, and a 12gauge mossburg shotgun.

Eye dominance in handgun shooting can pretty much be ignored. The gun is out a fair distance from the eyes. You just hold it in either hand where you can line up the sights. You don't need to patch the dominant eye and should still keep both eyes open. That is NRA Basic Pistol Marksmanship doctrine, not my opinion. Rifle shooting is a whole different animal as far as eye dominance/cross dominance, etc. It is very important and must be addressed.
