Well, I've had family in Charleston for almost sixty years, and my uncle sold campaign materials (pencils with a message, I believe) to Strom Thurmond. But I only get down there once a year, on the average.
I remember when the place to see (I was too young to buy) handguns was at Norvell's, which was located in the Francis Marion. At that time, I was more interested in cameras, which I think was Norvell's primary business.
I'll actually be going down there in a couple of weeks, but I'll only be there for a couple of days.
