Hi everyone,

I am in Missouri South of St Louis about one hour drive, I am retired and 62 years old, I am a Veteran USAF 1966 to 1970 was a Jet Engine Tech on B-52 and KC-135, 509th Bomb Wing (just in case any old Vets may be familiar)

I been NRA for so long I don't remember been shooting for ever and reloading, I shoot USPSA and Steel Challenge and I now sell brass all over the Country, I got a deal with a buddy who owns a Indoor Range I seperate and clean all pistol brass and keep them stock up in brass the rest goes everywhere about 15,000 to 30,000 per wk.

Frank

Welcome to the forum

I grew up in Springfield but have since moved to AR...you will love this forum

29aholic,

I drove a truck for 32 years out of St Louis where I lived most of my life, and I used to turn Springfield every day for a couple years about a 420 mile turn.

Man the roads get icy there in the winter.

Welcome from Ohio.

Hour south of St. Louis? Steelville/Cuba area? I love to spend time at the Wildwood Lodge.

My dad flew B52's and RC135's during those years. The RC135's were in VN, the B52's out of Griffiss and Glasgow.

I spent some formative years in Warrensburg while dad was stationed at Whiteman.

What types of S&Ws do you prefer?

45wheelgun,

South of St Louis in Ste. Genevieve, your dad flew B-52, did he fly out of South east Asia Bombing Vietnam mainly from Utapao Thialand, I went over with a group from Griffiss 1967, 68, 69

What year did he go to Whiteman, after I got out that is where my wing went the 509th, was he 509th in our day we were (SAC) Stategic Air Command.

I hope your father is still alive if so have him email me ask him if he remembers a KC-135 Crash 1968 made National News my plane 55-3133 Eleven killed many injured they or Honered on the Vietnam Wall

I have been trying soooo many years to find guys from the 509th related to our crash.

Welcome to the Forum from another fellow Missourian.

We live about 130 miles due West of you in the Forest City of the Ozarks near Meremec Springs. Was born & raised in south St. Louis (down by the Bevo - Cleveland HS). Served in VN 67-68 - basecamp near Pleiku air base.

Enjoy your time here . . . it's a great Forum with many knowledgeable and helpful folks. If you're like me, you'll learn a lot and occasionally have something to contribute.
