Newbie here but not new to S&W firearms.
When I purchased my first handgun, it was the newly introduced model 422 Target. I still have it and noticed one day that it is serial# 20!
Since then I have had quite a few:
4506- This one was gone through by Novak, it was a beauty and shot great, I sold it because it was just too big and I wanted a 745, more on that later.
5906- A police trade in that I picked up cheap. I had to use Comet cleaner to get the gunk off of it. It turned out nice but I never shot it that well so I sold it to a friend who later bought my 4506.
2206TGT- This one I still have. It is the nicest 22 I have ever shot next to a model 41 which I would like to get someday.
645- It was a police officers daily carry for 10 years and was in great shape when I bought it. I had it a short time and sold it to another friend who still has it.
745- This one spoils me. Great trigger and very accurate. Photo op!
4046?- The little alloy framed, blue steel slide, 40. I bought it used for a very good price and later figured out why, reliability. I traded it to a friend that was a gunsmith.
39-2- A fine example of the some good craftsmanship. Decent trigger and good accuracy, a great gun for the ladies or concealed carry.
686- The workhorse. The owner before me had the Performance Center do the trigger on it. It's a nice shooter.
M&P40- The ugly gun.
It is the latest addition and I am working to get familiar with the trigger. Another photo op!
Two six shot groups at 21ft.
So there you have my experience with S&W firearms. It's good to be at a place where I can learn more.
