Hello everyone. My name is Steve Zihn. I am a full time (trying to retire) gunsmith in central Wyoming. I just picked up a 6" K frame 32-20 with fixed sights (Unsure of the model number) but it's just like a gun my old high-school friend's dad had that I loaded ammo for way back in the 70s. I always liked that gun and now almost a half century later I got one for myself. I am going to use a Keith style 98 grain bullet for the loads. But my curiosity got to me and I tried to find what S&W used as a rifling twist for their old revolvers and no where on line have I found it. Not that I am all that "able" when it comes to the cyber world.. So instead of tapping away and looking all over the nation to find an answer, I came here. I am betting someone out that knows that answer for certain.
So........who can tell me what twist rate S&W used on this old revolvers?
