hey folks I've been a 15-22 shooter for the better part of two years with some where near 25k rounds down range. over the last two years my baby has seen many different configurations from carry handle iron sights with/without colt clone 4x scope to "snipered" out with a harris bipod a 4-16x40 scope and a fake can. to its current state as a tacticool zombie slayer with the lights and lazers and broomsticks and a fake eotech with mbuis. now i want kind of a DM (designated marksman) look. ON TO THE QUESTION what would ya'll recomend for a DM scope, something at least 4x preferably no illuminated reticle but i'll live either way. and affordable. I just built a bull barreled varmint slayer of my dreams so the luepold mark ar or a trijicon are kinda out of the question. PRIMARY USE 100meter range work and 100 meter plinking small chunks of clay pidgeons. thanks guys

When I had my 15-22 setup as a "DMR," I used a Bushnell 3-9x40. There's a pic and some specs on page 245 of the picture thread. Scope was around $90 at a local shop, never gave me any problems.

Check out the offerings at primary arms. There optics are decent quality and are very reasonably priced.

Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC 150. It's a mil-dot reticule made specifically for rimfire rounds. Mind you, I haven't bought one yet. It sure looks good on-line though!

I think it's outstanding that you've got 25,000 rounds through your gun. Man, to now transition to 100m work in the precision, small clay, speaks quite well of S&W's commitment to providing us with consistently great products.

Think BSA Sweet 22, especially the newer side focus parallax models in either 3-9x40 or 6-18x40. I have one of the older AO models with the 3 separate elevation turrets for 36-38-40g bullet weight compensation. It basically lives on my metallic silhouette Rem. 597. I have used it on my AR15-22 also but right now I have one 1.5-4.5 tactical scope and a BSA Tactical Mil-Mil 4-14x44 with all the trick stuff a tac scope should have like SF FFR and MRAD reticle. It is one of the more favored scopes for rimfire tactical training by most who have tried it.

Hobbie I sure do love the 1522 I havent shot it much lately as I've picked up 3 new rifles since november, a yugo sks pretty sure unfired seeing how when i tried to fire it after i bought it, it wouldn't go bang due to the abundance of cosmoline, a savage 93 classic in 17hmr for my sons first rifle mind you he's two , but i can keep it warm for him. it's absolutely beautiful with a hi-gloss walnut stock and 24 inch bbl. and a varmint ar that i dumped well lets just say a little bit of money into. phototracer, good call on the bsa i've seen em before and love the look. I to HAD a 597 i loved it but so did someone else and it walked out of my truck in my driveway at about noon.
