Help Dating My Newly Aquired Model 36 Revolver

Hi,
Wondering if I could get help finding out the manufacture date for my newly aquired S&W Model 36 Revolver that has a serial number 2JXXX. It is marked Mod 36 on the inside of the crane with the grips being numbered to the gun. Thanks for any information on this revolver in advance! Winchester66

If I'm reading the SCSW 3rd correctly, the J prefix
started in 1969-70. That's a big "if", too. TACC1
