I've done a few hours of research (Web MD, New England Journal of Medicine, Mayo Clinic et al.) looking to minimize the arthritis I have in my shoulders and hips. Thought I would pass this along to hopefully help anyone in the same boat.
What to avoid: Grains, sugar & red meat can increase the inflammation.
Eating the following can decrease the inflammation: Garlic, onion, green tea, cayenne pepper, oregano & paprika.

Good luck.

Yeah that works but I've read taking it every day or so can cause liver damage.

Only if you're taking massive doses - like over 2000 mg per day - same for ibuprofen (or any other NSAID).

Large doses of acetaminophen is supposedly bad for your kidneys too.

So since ibuprofen and acetaminophen both work about equally well for me I used to alternate which one I took each day.

Not a miracal set of drugs but have been taking 1000mg of Glucosamine and 500mg Tumeric I notice the difference. Both are taken when I take my regular meds when I get up. The difference between not taking it and taking it is noticeable. haven't gotten around taking the apple cider vinegar with the mothers. I am on no narcotic meds and I plan on staying that way..Frank

My knees have been giving me fits. This is the first I’ve heard about tumeric. How much do you take and how often?

The Glucosamine are two 500 MG tablets so 2 of them and the tumeric are 500MG so one of them. So all told 1000 MG once a say of the glucosamine and one 500 of the tumeric a day. May take awhile for any relief so show up. Some folks will get more relief that others and some may not get any relief at all. We all accept different meds in our own way. I can feel the difference but its hard to say wether the difference is no relief, some relief, great relief, or start doing hand springs like a 20 year old. Frank

Don't forget your honey!

About a dozen years ago I read about honey being good for arthritis and it's been in my morning coffee instead of sugar ever since. The pain in my left hand and back attributed to arthritis have ceased and I'm still hanging in there without any meds. However, it needs to be some good honey, preferably sold locally and none of the cheap imports.

After 40 years of daily back and/or hip pain (2 discs mostly dissolved) I have been taking high quality, 1500mg, full spectrum CBD oil (no THC) and after 3 weeks I realized I no longer had nerve pain.
I've not needed any ibuprofen or any other pain medication. Truly great stuff. Was skeptical at first but it proved itself. Try it, but give it a couple weeks to get into the system and create change -it isn't like taking an NSAID. But it IS more expensive.

I take turmeric, glucosamine, and alieve. Still doesn't relieve all of the pain but makes things bearable.

Make sure you take "good" turmeric, not the fake stuff from wally world. Do some research for 95% curcuminoids.

you should find out what type of arthritis you have so you can get the right treatment. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, degenerative arthritis, I am on two injectable meds, Humira and Methotrexate Salsilate, folic acid. The RA is in my feet, ankles hands and wrists. I take my meds, stay active, wear support/compression wraps on my ankles, wrists and gloves. I have been dealing with it since I 40 years old. eat a balanced diet keep your weight down avoid(limit) alcohol. Be aware also of the side effects of mixing spices and other natural remedies with prescribed meds. also with RA you can have periods of extreme tiredness.
