The people here are so much better at this than I am, but I'll take a shot. 38 Military and Police from around 1924 (aka Model of 1905 4th change) . It looks like it's in nice shape,$500 - $600. Take it with a grain of salt until the experts come along.

Agreed the holster is a replica.
Grips add or take away a lot of value especially on pre-war guns,

Need to see full pics

If you decide to sell it, PM me

I’m Curious - take the grips off and see if there is a serial number inside one of panels.
As far as selling, they are not particularly rare just exceptional condition.
I’d keep them if you are going to continue this hobby

There have been crazy circumstances where a gun did not leave the factory for years and years.
Most Victory grips that I recall had a stamped serial number, not written.
Take a picture of the hand written number and then manipulate the picture…..make sure it isn’t your serial number

Can do but it will be a little later today.

Here's what your original stocks would look like. It is highly unlikely that those Victory stocks shipped on your revolver, even if someone later wrote the serial number on them.

Good to know that. Pretty sure the other gun I bought has those grips on it. I’ll find out later today and let you know.

I AGREE, but wanted to have OP check before he potentially got rid of the grips.
The original are missing and the Victory grips match the condition of the gun.
I wonder if there is a date stamp (or any rework marks) on the grip frame where it went back to the Factory post war??
