Hi everyone, I have a s&w tip up 22 revolver and was wondering if anyone knew exactly what model and issue it is. Pat dates in order April 8 65 , July 5th 59 , December 1860. Thanks for any help.

Several folks will jump on the band wagon here but your revolver is known as a First Model, Third Issue. Some say: 1st, 3rd. Nice piece.

Model 1, 3rd Issue. This appears to be a post-9500 serial number variant with the rounded top strap. That would date the gun to the 1870 to 1882 timeframe (give or take a bit).

It looks like the spring tension screw on the front of the grip is loose.
