Help IDing a S&W

Can anyone give me any info on this S&W I have. I've been told it's late 1800's to early 1900's. It has .32 S&W CTCC (I think) stamped on the left side of the barrel. I can't read the serial number, it looks like it has a little rust and I didn't know if I should try to clean it or not. Six shot revolver with with the # 404 stamped into the loading end of the mag(thing that holds the bullets). As you can tell I don't know anything about firearms. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It's not a S&W. The Target logo on the grip panels are Harrington & Richardson. The 32 S&W CTG merely means what it is chambered for.
These little top breaks were made from around 1889 to 1940. Not worth much in the condition it's in.

This ought to be the picture:

I don't think this is a Smith & Wesson. The grips don't look right,
the hammer doesn't look right. But I'm not knowledgeable about
these early top-breaks.

The S&W on the barrel just indicated that it is in the ".32 Smith & Wesson" caliber. That is what is Now called .32 S&W Short! Because there is "Now"[b/] a .32 S&W Long.

Don't let this discourage you. You are a breath of fresh air as you at least recognize it as a POC. Most folks want to take a rusted gun and insist it is worth a fortune, even if they haven;t a clue. Good luck.
