Help, Is my 19 Too Far Out of Spec?

I have never looked at a gun anywhere that the seller disclosed a problem with even if I point out an issue they just act like they didn’t know(and also don’t care). Truthfully most people probably don’t even know there is an issue with a guns barrel/cylinder gap. If the timing is right and the chamber alignment is right how would you know unless you went looking for problems?

Oh screw it! Just sell it to me. Problem solved.:D

Looks like a great candidate for a Smolt conversion. Problem solved!

Because I would know within 60 sec of being handed it . Maybe not to the exact thousandth , but definately " Endshake over spec , b/c 3x what oughta be , 2x of where I'd call a pass " .

Never seen one threaded back to the end of the barrel like that. Somebody set that barrel back and maybe refinished it.

Something ain't right with this Model 19. This is the one with the grip frame having the appearance of being nickel plated. The blueing looks really good, the recoil plate looks like there have been almost no firing of this revolver, yet there is excessive end shake and barrel-cylinder gap. Now we see the barrel extension and it looks like it was threaded all the way to its edge and the forcing cone is either eroded or someone has beveled its edge.

I'm wondering if this piece was shot to death, then someone with some skills replaced the barrel and refinished the piece to make it look unique and increase the perceived value.
