Hi,
I would like to buy a 9 semi-auto pistol for general use (fun at the range, home defense). My criteria is that it must accept a grip activated laser and have a threaded barrel for a supressor and be easy to shoot for my wife. I do not carry. The M&P 9 feels pretty good in my hand and a Crimson Trace laser is available. I need some direction on which model. I was considering the M&P 9 Pro 4.25" Model 178035, but then I saw model 220070 4.25 with Crimson Trace Laser Grips and No Thumb Safety.
I don't know if I should spend the extra on the Pro series and add the Crimson Laser, or get the one that already comes with the laser??? I hear the trigger on the standard non-pro version could be better, but I guess I could change triggers??? And I do not know enough about the guns to know if the thumb safety is important or not.
I know I should go shoot them, but it is hard to find them to try first in my area.
OR should I be considering a different gun altogether? (glock, baretta, all metal vs polymer, ruger, etc.)
I just bought a M&P 15-22 PC (and could not resist the pistol version of the same), and am very happy with it, although my wife now claims it is her gun.
Any input would be appreciated.
