I took the targets off both my Model 29 and 19 because they are a little big for my hands (and I don't think I have small hands).

I put Hogue monogrips on there, but to be honest, I can't stand the finger grooves. I don't really care what the material is, wood, rubber, etc.

Can someone recommend something a little smaller than targets but without finger grooves? I liked the rubber on the 29 because it seemed to soak up a little recoil.

For the 29, see if you can find some Pachmayr Presentation grips SN-S, the second S standing for small (relatively speaking). That may be the best fit you will find, although possibly some fairly thin service (NOT Magna) grips will work with a Tyler. The SN-S size is no longer made, but one can often still find them, usually without paying very much.

For the 19, I would try Magnas (perhaps PlainClothes are best) and a Tyler.

Good luck!

Ahrends retro targets for K and N. Or Herrett Ropers.

I have small to medium hands and find the Ahrends perfect fit. The Herretts are nice but spendy but made to your hand. Both are on the web or do a search here.

Aaron, I have Altamont S&W magnas on my 629. I have small hands and using any N frame is a stretch for me. If those don't quite work, add a T-grip and they should.

i put a set of magnas off a model 10 on my father in laws model 19-3, and wow how nice that fits and feels. now if i could just get him to sell it to me !
