Help Me Out With The Title Of This Movie

I think this movie aired on the History Channel but I could be wrong.

It was part of a series about all the different ways the world could end. In this movie some superbug wipes out most of humanity.

The movie starts out in LA (I think) the father is a Paramedic and he and his family hide out in LA as long as they can and then leave town.

I remember one scene where they family avoids having their home looted becuase they dump a bunch of trash and clothes in the front yard to make it look like it had already been looted.

I also rememebr a scene where the wife is raising Hell becuase she has poop burying duty

Along the way they are attacked by gangbangers that have taken over a National Guard road block (because all the Guardsmen died from the virus). They find a warehouse full of food that’s been taken over by another gang and end up killing a gang member.

They find a car with a dead (from the virus) driver and take it and his gun and drive the tank dry and end up in a small town where the father uses his paramedic training to help sick people but is himself killed by an infected cut.

We then find out that the kid is the one narrating the movie several years after his father died

There were a couple of things in this movie that made no sense to me. The first was the concept that even though mankind had already invented the technology we have today with no template to work from the survivors wouldn’t be able to replicate it with all the data and information available in the form of books (unless the gangbangers burned down the libraries)

The second was that dad the Paramedic didn’t know enough to maintain antiseptic procedure and wash out his cut with alcohol since antibiotics weren’t available.

To be honest, it looks like what might happen in Ferguson if the grand jury fails to indict the cop in the Mike Brown shooting.
