Help!! model 36 question

I have a friend who's a dealer. He has come into a few NIB Model 36's Flat Latch, form 1962-63. They are NIB with tools.He is asking $500.00 SCSW list them for around $425.00 NIB. I know that books are a good guide to go from but would this be a worth investing in one of these Chief Specials?

Remember the "Book" prices were put together in 2005 for printing in 2006. I find that most of the prices are off by at least 50% for ANIB guns. I think $500 for an ANIB flat latch Mod 36 is a great price.

I think there should be ONE of every model S&W in a glass case in a Museum.

That is an outstanding price for a flat latch Model 36 in that condition with box and tools.
