Hey Guys, I have always gotten great advice here. This is I know probably a question for Conceal Carry, but the reason I am putting it here is because the folks who do competitive shooting probably are in the know.

That said, I have a Beretta APX Compact. I just bought it, haven't even taken it to the range yet, but I know it shoots flat and I love the reset, the short take up, and the "WALL."

My only gripe, the trigger I feel would be better at 5lbs and no less than 5lbs. The triggers factory come in around 6.25lbs. This is a bit heavy but I feel it is good.

I also have a Sig P320 Xcarry with the Graysgun trigger and competition spring. Before I switched out the stock flat trigger, there was a definite wall. But after doing the mod, the wall now is very vague and getting the first shot off can be difficult. Once I get past the first shot, follow up shots are fine.

I can't articulate it, but a heavier trigger that has a defined wall seems easier to draw from concealment and get shots off. Your thoughts

Whoever gets the first effective hit, wins. If your first shot is compromised, I'd start swapping stuff back. I don't know how the trigger geometry on the 320 works, or what the Grayguns trigger changes compared to stock. Replace parts one at a time and decide what works best. And don't just dry-fire it--hit the range and test it out. Sometimes, what feels the best in your basement isn't what works the best with live ammo.

On the Beretta, just leave it stock. 1.25# is nothing. I usually caution folks against using a trigger pull gauge. By the time a 2# trigger makes a difference over a 3.75# trigger, they don't need my advice anyway. It's far more important to have a good and consistent trigger than a light one.

That being said, my funtimes G-Lock has a big pile of Apex and Ghost trigger components. Sometimes, it's okay to prioritize "what's fun to shoot" over "what produces the best results in my hands".
