Hi all,

I was just changing the safety on my 15-22, I picked up the lower receiver when about to change the safety and a piece flew out, but I'm not sure where it goes/what it is!

I have attached a picture, if anyone can help and let me know where it goes that would be great, as I have shooting to do!

Thanks!!

... and there'll be an itty-bitty spring to go with it. You can hope it's still in its hole, but...

Luckily the spring was still in the grip. Thankfully a member of this very forum makes some great videos on many aspects of the 15-22, changing the safety was one of them, so all sorted, now got a very nice 30 degree safety on the gun instead of the 90 degree one.

Pulling that grip loose exposes TWO springs, each with its associated pin/detent. The other spring has a nifty little copper pin associated with it. Also easy to loose or misplace. Not a bad idea to do the disassembly/reassembly of the grip to frame inside a gallon ziplock bag. Any attempt of the spring to launch is thwarted.
