Does anyone know how to tell if a Prostaff scope is the standard or rimfire version?
Looking at a used one. Don't want a rimfire really

Thanks!

Hold it against something solid and "aim" at something 50 yards away.Move your head around and if the crosshairs seem to jump about its probably a standard.

Current Nikon rimfire scopes are 4x32mm, 3-9x40mm Target EFR and the 3-9x40mm that is marked Rimfire on the objective bell.

I've heard several say the rimfire Prostaff works great on centerfire guns. The parallax thing may not be that big a deal unless you are shooting at really long range, and then you want a higher power scope with an adjustable objective lens.
