:( Yea I know people hate pluming questions. Sorry! I had tile floor put in the upstairs baths and I am getting water marks on the ceiling down stairs. It measures out to be the commode but I know water can run. I pulled up the commode and was going to put another wax ring in but the wax ring that is in there isn't touching the bottom of the commode. The wax ring looks new not mashed at all. They had two thickness of wax rings and I bought the thickest but the one that is in there is the thick kind too. What can I do to fix this? Don

You raised the floor height and now the stool does not sit on the wax ring. You need to raise the height of the plumbing to match the floor.

Plumbing rule # 2 applies in this situation "**&% flows downhill"
For those who don't know the other rules of plumbing Rule # 1 is "Hot on the left cold on the right" and rule # 3 "Payday is Friday"
:D

I've had good luck using one wax ring with the rubber bottom, then adding a standard rig on top of the first. If you have a good solid riser and floor it shouldn't be a problem.

Oh yeah, the fourth rule in plumbing and most important is:

DON'T BITE YOUR FINGERNAILS!
