Hello fellow shooters,
Any information that you may have about this revolver would be appreciated. It has a 9204XX serial number, dark blue finish, 5" barrel (pinned), 5 screw with a strain screw, fixed sights and butt swivel. In 38 S&W and with a Canadian mark (C with broad arrow inside it), on the left frame above the grip. It also has an inspector's mark (WB) on the square butt on the other side of the swivel. It may have had a flaming bomb but it has been peened out or other issue. No "P" found anywhere on frame or barrel. All numbers match; butt, barrel and cylinder. I read info that this may be a pre WWII commercial hand ejector that was shipped to Canada for security or defense work. Later models were changed into Victory models. I changed the cylinder stop and it locks up and shoots great.
Any help will be nice.

Well, it's a pre-Victory .38/200, ca. February 1942. At that time, it could well have been blued. Highly likely it's military. S&W switched to smooth wood grips early in 1942, so those on it are probably correct. Is the matching SN stamped inside the right grip? The broad arrow inside a capital C is the Canadian acceptance mark. WB is Waldemar Bromberg, U. S. Army Springfield Ordnance District.

Thanks for the reply DWalt, The inside right grip has a name cut into it, HOSEY, as well as the left side. The serial number has been pressed or cut over. I can see where numbers where pressed in but cannot make them out. Thanks for your info.
