I am in the process of purchasing my first firearm, and I am dead set on the M&P 15-22 MOE SL. It's only a matter of time before i receive it. One of the reasons I want that model is because of the Magpul MBUS folding sights.
That being said, I am also purchasing a sight. After extensive research, I found the Bushnell AR Optics Drop Zone-22 BDC Rimfire Reticle Riflescope with Target Turrets, 2-7x 32mm which is an amazing scope specifically made for AR-like .22 rifles, and as a bonus it costs only around $70.
I'm perfectly fine with 2-7x magnification because I wont be shooting much past 100 yards, I have 20/15 vision, and I've read and seen reviews where folks shoot well over 150 yards no problem with this scope.
Plus it has parallax adjustment from 10-infinity. So no need to try and talk me out of this one.
The challenge for me right now is trying to find the right scope rings. I want the scope high enough so that it fits with the Magpul MBUS folding sights still attached, but I want the scope low enough so that I don't feel the need to pick my face up off of the rifle while looking down the sights. I should also add that the tube diameter is the standard 1 inch.
To wade through all the detail, my central question becomes: What specific scope rings can I get for my M&P 15-22 MOE SL gun, and my Bushnell 2-7x 32mm scope so that I do not need to remove my Magpul MBUS folding sights???
Obviously they need to fit on a picatinny rail. It would also be nice if it didn't cost as much as my laptop like some of the ridiculous scope rings I've seen. It would also be nice if it wasn't made out of yarn, so maybe nothing less than $10, and nothing more than $40. To make the order even taller, I'd like them not to look bad like some of them I've seen.
I apologize if I've been redundant, or if the detail is too thick. I am completely new to buying firearms and scopes so I'd like to get this right the first time. As I said i'm new to this so feel free to educate me best as possible.
