English guy. Lives in Vegas. LV Steve? L V Steve? Something like that.


Anyway, I have a question about Nevada in general and Las Vegas in particular, and I figured he could help.

Steve posts a good bit; I think you wouldn't have to review but a few threads with a significant number of replies and you would run into him easily. I think his username is LVSteve, with no spaces, but I won't say for sure. If you wait a bit he may even reply to you in this thread.

Two-parter. And I'm not interested in now. I could look up now. I'm thinking about 15 years ago.


Was there a waiting period in Nevada to buy a pistol?


Did Las Vegas have their own laws about that? You know like, you can have a New York carry permit but that won't let you carry in New York City because New York City has their own laws.



So if about 2006 2007 I, a Nevada resident, went to a Vegas gun shop and said "I want that pistol", could I walk out the door with it that evening or would I have to wait?
