I just picked this up for 800 and change on GB. I hope once they start stocking in stores the actual retail will be under 900. Haven't shot it but I find the fit and finish very nice. The bluing is very nice. No unattractive warning labels or other unsightly stuff on revolver.

I think its beautiful!!!

I just bought a Big Boy rifle and was impressed with the fit and finish. The action is also very smooth and it shoots great. Hope your revolver is as nicely made. What caliber is it? I got my rifle in .45 Colt.

Massad Ayoob published a mostly positive shooting review of the Henry Big Boy last month, which you can access via this link: Just a moment...

That’s the first pic of the gun that I actually think it looks ok. Good luck.

Same here. It's a mash-up of modern and retro, looks like something a mid-20th century engineer would have conjured if he'd gone back in time to 1880. I sort of like the mix.

I wonder why Henry didn't decide to get into the reproduction market like Uberti and Rossi and Pietta have? As nicely retro as the Big Boy rifles are, they could do some nice companion piece SAA's or Remington 1850's. Their pricing on this new one would indicate they could be price competitive with the others, and their reputation for quality would sell the gun for them.

This particular review seems pretty objective. I don't think Mossad Ayoob serves as a shill for anyone.
