I am a revolver man, but when I find a vintage Smith and Wesson Semi automatic pistol for a reasonable price(?) I will pick it up. I purchased this beautiful Model 39-2, serial number A5944##, circa 1979, alloy frame with steel slide, very clean panels and just a few blemishes from rattling around in a safe for 30 years. No box or accompanying toys. To my layman's eye, it appears to never have been fired. I paid $300.00 for it. Is that a fair price? Thanks for your opinions. Waistgunner

Oh you did great! I'm not a huge 9mm fan, but I've always wanted a Model 39 since I saw one on the Blues Brothers movie (IL State Police?). Nice buy - enjoy!

Regards,

Dave

Oh yeah, good score. Wish I could find one for $300.
