Hi guys. I've owned various Smiths for the last thirty years, all wheel guns, until last week, when both a BG380 and a Shield 40 found their way home with me! I came here looking for information and experiences with these two pistols.
I carry a Glock 23 for work and have been carrying a Sig P229 on my own time, but started thinking that a double stack .40 was a lot for IWB carry.
I shot the BG last week and was pleased with the accuracy, but I'm not real happy with the long trigger. .380 ACP feels like a huge compromise too, so this will probably only be carried when weather/wardrobe leave no other options. (Think swim trunks and umbrella drinks!)
Hopefully I'll get out to shoot the Shield today before work. I like the size and the feel of the trigger during dry fire practice feels nice. Also, I'm already a fan of the .40 S&W.
