Hi,

New guy to the forum checking in. A little about myself: I live in South Dakota, I'm a Captain on the Fire Department that I work for. I'm a Army Veteran, former Sergeant in 82nd Airborne Division, Infantry. I'm a avid hunter and shooter/firearms enthusiast, like motorcycles and ATVs, martial arts and reading.

As far as S&W products: One of the first handguns I owned was a S&W 1917 45 ACP revolver (a gift from my father) that I still have. I've owned a couple of model 29's, a 686, and a 645. I currently have a 329 PD, a 642, and a older model 317 (before the fiber optic sights).

I'm currently looking at getting a S&W MP 15-22 and was hoping to learn a little more about the rifle from this forum.

Welcome from Colorado Firedude!!! My son has the M&P 15/22 and he loves it!!! It's a good thing .22 ammo is cheap because he burns through a bunch of it at 25 rounds per mag. Such a fun rifle to shoot, AR functionality, easy to break down and clean. Find a good deal on one and get it!!!
