I was gifted a pre-model 10 snubbie that was originally a policeman’s boot gun. It’s in very good condition except that the original owner garage-bobbed the hammer. I compared its hammer to one out of my 1990’s model 10 and they’re mechanically identical but the spur was much lower on the newer version. My victory model has the higher spur but the sear is a saddle type and incompatible. The third picture is a hammer I found on eBay. Were these high spur hammers with internal sear some sort of transitional part? Is it right for my gun?
