Does anyone know anything about the Hilton Garden Inn? Supposed to be about 11 miles from the gun show location in Louisville. Have a room there Friday night and just curious as to what this place is like?? Thanks!

Not sure about that one but I have stayed in the one in TAMPA.. No quite a Marriott Residence Inn. but more like a UPGRADE Hampton Inn. Defiantly better than a Holiday Inn EXPRESS>>

You're probably at the one on Alliant Ave off I64. That's a good part of town. The one on Crittenden Dr is across from the gun show but also near the airport. You've got a pretty good road trip if you're at the Park Plaza location but it's in the ritziest section of Louisville.

I'm usually in Row E in the front section. I have a royal blue table cover with the S&W logo on the front. Stop by and say hello and I'll introduce you to rburg. He sells his autograph for a quarter apiece or 5 for $1.

OK, found out we will be at the Hilton Garden on Park Plaza Ave. Anyone know the approximate distance to the gun show from there?? Also, what is the address where the show is located?? Need to put it in the Garmin so we don't end up who knows where. Not familiar with alot of Louisville so that would be a great help. Thanks!

Gun Show is Kentucky State Fairgrounds, South Wing C. Take I71 west to I264 turn left not sure if it's south or west but it's not north or east.

stay on 264 (Watterson xway) and watch for fairgrounds/crittenden dr exit. It will be near the intersection of 264 and I65. Gets tricky with airport exits so watch what you're doing.

The Hilton Garden web page has a good map and it's interstate most of the way. If you can find your way from WVa the local part will be cake.

Thanks everyone! We made it down there last June and vowed to return for this one so looking forward to the trip. Looking forward to a good show.

I've stayed at the Airport Garden Inn for a number of years. It's a couple of minutes from the airport and the hotel van will pick you up. They will also deliver you to the show, and pick you up in the evening. The restaurant is so-so, usually slow, but OK. There are several other restaurants across the street. Free internet also. And it's MUCH nicer than the old Executive Inn.
