My stepson has just gotten into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and we went to his first match yesterday, it was an interesting experience but unfortunately he lost both of his fights and was pretty bummed out about. I told him to cheer up and I would rent the big pay per view UFC fight that was coming on tv. Well, I thought it would cost about $20 and it turned out to be 50 bucks to rent! I almost revoked my offer when I heard how expensive it was, but we watched it anyway. It was actually quite entertaining! There were some big upsets, one was this Irish smack talker dude who had never been defeated, and the other was champion Holm who is an incredible, tall boxer and she got whooped by pretty little Mishea Tate. I guess it was worth the money since both my stepson and I really enjoyed the fights and my wife enjoyed watching the women and couldn't believe how tough they are.

Got a thing for Rhonda myself - wife don't understand but hey, I don't understand her thing for Chris Hemsworth - so I guess we're even LOL

Didn't think Holm was going to be long haul champ though - don't think Tate is going to hang on to it for long either.

I think Rhonda is pissed off just enough to come back and kick some girly butt.

I am big MMA fan being a former Judo guy, my son is juijitsu practicer and MMA ref, plus my granddaughter is a juijitsu and wrestler, so we are a fight family. Anyway I was so glad to see Misha get the belt. She has earned it through a long hard career and being a class act. I was really having my doubts she would pull it off after missing a big submission chance in the second round but as she always has done he hung in until the end and got the choke.

McGregor made the mistake of believing his own hype by going up two weight classes and against a skilled fighter and all around brawler in Diaz. The Diaz brothers are a nasty pair.

Rowdy Rhonda has beaten Miesha twice previously, but Tate hasn't lost since 2013. At 5'7" 135lbs Miesha is certainly not hard on the eyes but for some reason I have a soft spot for Rhonda as well. I don't get the attraction of watching girls beat each other senseless but it sure seems to sell tickets so I guess it works for some people!
